Washington Navel

The tree size is medium, with lush green foliage. The fruit is large in size and holds well on the tree. There are no seeds, and this traditional "eating orange" is very easy to peel. It is rich in flavor and moderately juicy, although if you plan to juice this orange you will need to consume it within a couple of days because the juice may become bitter the longer it stands. Ripens in winter months. |

Summer Navel

The tree and fruit are very similar to the Washington navel, and is often used to provide navel oranges in the summer when Washington’s are not producing. |

Valencia

The "juicing orange." The tree is extremely vigorous and will reach heights of 12-18 feet in good soil. The fruit is medium-large, very difficult to peel, few seeds, and very sweet abundant juice. This is the orange that most commercial juices are made from because it will stay sweet much longer than navels. Ripe: April to mid-October. |

Cara Cara Navel

The fruit is medium, deep orange with a small navel. The reddish internal color makes this fruit stand out from the rest. Usualy seedless. Holds well on tree, but the color may fade. The tree ranges from small to medium. The foliage is vaguely variegated. |

The fruit is medium to large, but is slightly smaller than the Washington. Has a pleasant sweet flavor. Juicy but has a few seeds. Fruit is known as the navel-less navel. Bears heavily in alternate years. The tree is a vigorous grower, with dense dark green foliage. Ripens in February to June. |
